Parts Manager

The Parts Manager is responsible for running a profitable and efficient Parts department. He/she will accomplish objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, pricing, merchandising, displaying, and advertising.

Primary Duties:

  • Prepare, administer, and monitor an annual operating budget for the Parts Department.
  • Forecast goals and objectives and strive to meet them.
  • Create and maintain a positive relationship with customers, ensuring that department staff is helpful, as well as making customer satisfaction a priority to ensure referral and repeat business.
  • Ensure the parts inventory and reconciliation is completed in a timely manner
  • Ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
  • Attend managers' meetings and strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments.
  • Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that may affect parts sales. Comply with hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know regulations
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all department staff.
  • Direct and schedule the activities of all department employees. Monitor department employees' payroll records.
  • Conduct meetings with department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest and to develop strategies for a more efficient operation.
  • Develop, enforce and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Handle customer complaints immediately and according to the dealership's guidelines.
  • Establish and enforce a pricing policy that balances volume, customer loyalty, and the cost of doing business.

  • Must have strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills are required to work with customers , employees and vendors
  • Required to maintain the profitability of the department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction

Responsibilities for our Assistant Office Manager positions include:

  • ·         Keeps schedules clean and up to date.
  • ·         Assist in monthly closings.
  • ·         Produce and review journal entries.
  • ·         Review schedules, journals, and general ledger.
  • ·         Preparing reconciliations for assigned accounts.
  • ·         Research and resolve any discrepancies or problems with the         billing process.
  • ·         Other duties as assigned.
